An Open Orthodoxy has a post with an excerpt by David Bentley Hart about the sacrifice of Christ. I leave it here because it is the Triduum on the Western Calendar (the three days of Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter/Paschal Sunday), today is Holy Saturday in that sequence, and because most people have no idea what the Church has historically taught. I’m not interested in converting my readers, only that they know the history of the West.
If I had time, I’d post something about Passover, but this historically interesting post about Red Seders will need to do, though it is non-parallel to the Hart post, above.
