Here in my chair, after a full night’s sleep,
eyes ranging ‘cross shelves of my library
that awful thing that remains to be done
is banished far-off by the dissipant sun;
here in my chair, after a full night’s sleep.
Here in my chair, after a full night’s sleep,
eyes ranging ‘cross shelves of my library
that awful thing that remains to be done
is banished far-off by the dissipant sun;
here in my chair, after a full night’s sleep.
Here in my chair squinting at the page
Wondering if these new glasses will ever work
Frustrated by the inadequate light
I fall back into my chair
With my head in my hands
Cursing the gods
Where’s charity when
you need it

there is good in the world, Mr. Sheldon — but it is a broken world, with many broken goods, and many lesser goods war against other greater goods, and some are swallowed by viruses and black holes or corrupted by lesser goods.
